Wow I think you should develop this idea a bit further: more powerups, more enemies, boss fights, story line, survival mode attacks from both sides (betrayal in story mode!) etc.

Though maybe its the simplicity that makes this so fun. *shrug*

One thing, farming gold is too easy. Maybe put some sort of penalty for friendly casulties, some incentive to end levels quickly. I ruined my first experience with the game by having all 6 powerups really early.

Fun game, the top wall seems only semi solid. A couple times the ball would go past my paddle or the AI's even when the paddle was all the way at the top. Also, the ball has gotten jammed in the top wall and the AI paddle.

I love the effect of each frame redrawn from scratch, and the music seemed to almost fit, though it was extremely short and wasnt able to realize full potential.
